vundo removal – There are several tools to remove Vundo, which when used alongside other tools are very effective.
Combofix I use through email requests for assistance as it does have its downside and needs to be applied correctly.

Spyware Fix – SmitFraud is an excellent tool that can solve many problems, especially when used in conjunction with other programs.

Smitfraud – Combofix is a good tool…in the right hands.
I have to bear in mind that the majority of users seeking help and advice need simple steps, but I do use Combofix through email when it is deemed necessary.

vundo removal said
Vundofix from atribune does not seem to work as well as it used to. One program I have had great sucsess with is combofix.exe. This tool is very powerful and easy to use. The downside is in about 3% of all cases it can corrupt the OS. So if you are in a jam and don’t want to pay money for a program and have your data backed up it is worth a shot. You can always pay an expert to remove this threat as well. There are plenty of online computer repair companies that will remove viruses and spyware for under a hundred bucks. Just Google online computer repair and you will find a large list of online repair companies.

Thanks for sharing. SmithfraudFix is a superb program and I can vouch to it’s effect. Smithfarud and Vundo seem to be two of the most popular and dangerous trojans on the internet. Tools like these are a big help.

This article is right on. On other tool to consider is combofix. If you use this tool make sure you back all your data first as it can cause Windows to be unstable. Also you should run all of the above tools in safe mode for best results

Smitfraud and Zlob really are a pain and seem to be spreading yet again, I will add the Vundofix into the post.

I have been been dealing with Smitfraud and Zlob for years. It seems over the last few months that anyone infected with Zlob will almost always have Smitfraud and Virtumonde. Another free based program worth mentioning is ad-aware and vundofix if you do end up gettiing infected with the Vundo or Virtumonde stains

Many are also switching to Linux and dual booting, greater stability and ease of use, and much more portable. XP can operate well as long as users have good security measures in place and avoid using IE.

Kabar – If you still have this problem you need to turn off System Restore, download the fix as outlined in the post and also download Rogueremover then reboot into Safe Mode and run both programs,

Smitfraud is definelty bad stuff. The first time I came across this I had a ton of problems removing it. Now whenever I run into this I do a system restore first then run the free smitfraudfix tool and then run a full scan with Spyware Doctor. If you have Smitfraud I can gurantee you are infected with other threats as well and that is way you need to use other software besides just the smitfraud fix tool.

No problem downloading or running the program. Totally worked for me. I was infected with VirusProtect, a nasty Trojan that was very hard for me to remove.

Viteche – Make sure that your pop-up blocker is not stopping it. If you are using internet explorer right click on the yellow bar at the top of the window and change permission to ‘allow’

Zlob is a nastiest Trojan backdoor and once Zlob infects your computer it will allow attackers to control your system.

Gaby May I ask which program you are having a problem downloading? Also check that pop-up blockers are not stopping downloads.
I have retested the links and they are fine.
