Jackie – I don’t use messenger either because of it’s inherent problems.
On Vista you can use CCleaner to clear out the cache, and also use PCPitstop to check your system for any faults and recommendations

I am so glad that I have never been a messenger user. It is just something I never got into the habit of doing. I know sometimes it irritates some of my online friends but I simply am not talented enough to chat and work at the same time.
Besides I am having enough trouble dealing with Windows Vista. Everyday my computer is moving slower and slower and I know it is because I need to clean out my cache but, I simply cannot figure out how to get underneath Vista and manually delete files. Grrrrrr!!!!!
Thank you Colin for always keeping us informed!!
