Range Wallace - The methods employed to deliver malware are ever changing as many involved in computer security are well aware of. This covered the most common method which was applicable at the time, and still continues to be used as well as drive-by downloads and malicious scripts embedded into web pages and click-jacking, along with several more.

Well technically no body knows about this. There is so many rouges anti virus rouges all over the net which is very. I was just wish that there is always a way on how to remove a virus from system with out. So I think it's more better to have a very known Anti-virus on the whole net. Well some website offers studies about virus and give them for free. Like take this site for example systemsecurityinstitute.org. If you sign up for there free weekly newsletter they will give a valuable information about the latest system security threats like virus, trojan, spyware and any IT related materials which is very useful and it's for free.

anti-spyware - The way they operate is insidious to put it politely, but users can stop this garbage from downloading by using simple methods such as use of task manager rather than accept the download and then try to find a remedy for the problems incurred.

Deborah - Thank you so much for your valued comment :)
Educating users is the hard part, so many are falling victim to these fake programs and it is not helped with the ever changing names.
Many of the new variants also download silently as 'drive by' downloads which only makes the situation worse, although most are easily removed and users computers restored without too much trouble using tried and trusted programs from reliable sources.
It's a long, uphill battle at the moment!

Have a wonderful weekend ahead,
Best wishes,
Colin

These videos, along with your list of fake anti-malware software, are excellent resources. This rogue software is marketed under hundreds of different names and changes so swiftly that it's very difficult for the average user to know which one to trust.

Thank you for working to educate people.

Safe surfing

Doug Having dealt with so many of these malware infections I can only agree with your comment.
Educating users is the only way to try and stop this fake software being downloaded, and it is sad that they can very quickly change their name and servers and fool yet more users into downloading something that will create many more problems.

Colin

These rogue products are certainly becoming good at getting their malware onto your computer.
Sadly, only increased education can be the only way I can see to stop them.
There are so many ways for them to remain above the laws.
