Spybot Search & Destroy is a free program which detects and removes spyware which is not covered by antivirus programs. This includes many of the new rogue antivirus programs which install silently in the background

beckyblind – BitDefender, along with many other protection programs offer a certain amount of security, but….there is no 100% security solution, therefore a layered approach works better.
Many security applications can take several days, or weeks, to come up with a solution to stop the onslaught of trojans and other malware that evolves each and every day. BitDefender is not a very complex antivirus, and for malware offers little defense

it’s a very interesting program but i’m using BitDefender and i had no problems, i guess a lot of security solution know about those threats and covers them.Mine is a very complex anti virus and i m sure i’m very protected.

Doug – Spybot has to be one of the all time favourites which many users still haven’t got around to installing. It’s Hosts file does a superb job and CCleaner is an amazing utility.

Ive used Spybot for years. I usually combine its services with CCleaner and Hijack This for a sqeaky claen puter.
